Brittany asked me to come photograph her family at their home, to document this crazy time in all of our lives, and to celebrate her daughter’s preschool graduation.
As a mom myself, I completely understand the importance of capturing these milestones in photographs. I know she’ll look back at these photos one day when her girls are graduating college, and remember this precious time spent at home with them.
Sometimes, actually 100% of the time, kiddos tend to get “burned out” during their family sessions. If I sense this happening, I like to give them a break to shake their sillies out. This gives me the perfect opportunity to snap a few portraits of just mom and dad.
I can’t tell you how many times I have heard my clients say, “we haven’t taken a photo together like this since we got married.” And then I get so EXCITED! While I absolutely love photographing, er chasing kiddos around, it’s so fun for me to get to slow down and take some semi-posed portraits of parents.
Brittany and Mike have been together for almost 15 years, and they are currently on week 10 of sheltering in place. Like Mike said, “If we can make it through this quarantine together, we can make it through anything!”
